Distance Machine

Distance Machine is a 55 gallon oil drum, 20 feet of industrial hose, 100 keys, and 1 grandfather clock chime. Designed to abide by social distancing guidelines, Distance Machine speaks to our collective isolation and the perseverance of the human desire to connect and communicate. Each activation of the sculpture consists of one performer and one audience member. Each performance is unique and completely improvised.
